Part of being an art teacher is to model creativity, taking risks, and modeling a positive and encouraging attitude towards “fixing” or working from an unwanted result while doing a project. I remind my students, there are no mistakes in art :). We can make something from any unwanted result.
If we want children to be creative and not easily discouraged, we have to model that behavior with every opportunity we get.
